I ventured to Ellicott City for Girls Night OUt a few weeks ago. My friend A who lives close by has raved about Pure Wine Cafe, for a while now.
I started with some wine – Red of course — I chose a Pinot Noir, 3 Trees, Southeastern Australia 2006. It was good. Pure lets you choose 2oz (half glass), 5 oz (glass) or bottle, for many wines. The staff is also freindly and knowledgeable.
Next up …. Food!
Pure mainly does a set Tapas menu and then has nightly specials.
I started with a special – Grilled Shrimp with Lime and Quinoa cake…. it was Amazing!!!
Next up…
Smoked Salmon Crostini- Caper-Dill Marscarpone, Pickled Shallots, Lemon – This was perfect.
Finally – Smoked Duck Flatbread- Sweet Chili Gastrique, Roasted Shallots, Crumbled Chevre, Asparagus
Food came out fast, tasted great. If you like wine, good food, and a cozy atmosphere this would be a good option for you.
